ORJEBC shall exist to support and strengthen youth ministry at the congregational and churchwide areas and shall be a ministry of, for, by, about and among youth in the Body of Christ. By expanding the reach and widening the influence of all youth, ORJEBC seeks to reverse the effects of dispersion, alienation and absence of leadership by fostering a commitment to unity, increasing leadership opportunities, and encouraging knowledge development in all aspects within the church.

The purposes of ORJEBC are to serve and assist all youth; to promote spiritual and professional growth, camaraderie, modeling and effective leadership skills; to foster evangelism, discipleship, and worship; to serve as pure ministers; to develop and experiment in new forms of ministry; and to serve as the official voice of the youth of Eglise Baptiste du Calvaire.

To accomplish these purposes, the Organisation des Jeunes de l'Eglise Baptiste du Calvaire shall:

  • Provide a structure through which the youth of Eglise Baptiste du Calvaire are enabled to grow in relationship to Jesus Christ and to one another, to witness to their faith and to serve the Lord.

  • Encourage youth to understand and participate in the life of the Church and its mission beyond the local congregation.

  • Nurture and sustain the faith of the youth within the church and encourage growth as stewards of the Church.

  • Provide spiritual renewal, leadership training and resources for the youth and those who work with the youth.

  • Provide continuity of program in youth ministry at the church level while encouraging creativity and flexibility to meet the needs of the youth.

  • Cooperate with other youth ministries, youth serving agencies and the organizations/officers of other churches in the community in planning and implementing programs, publications, and events to provide for the needs of youth.

  • Encourage interaction with regional youth programs and ministries consistent with our purpose/function.

The ORJEBC has five (5) core values, also known as the “R.E.A.C.H. model”. This model encompasses the most fundamental reasons for ORJEBC's existence.

The R.E.A.C.H. model core values are:

•  R each and
•  E mpower for
•  A dulthood in
•  C hrist with
•  H armony
